Woodlands Church wants to help people to find Jesus, love one another, follow Jesus and serve the city - Hope Bristol is a great chance to do all of these! Throughout the mission (4th- 7th April) we’ll show people across Bristol the love of Jesus, follow Jesus’ example in our words and action, and serve every corner of Bristol.
But in such a big event it can be hard to find that area where you can really make a difference. So, here are just a few examples to get you thinking.
Admin Team. Apparently, some people love doing admin type jobs – crazy I know! We need a whole team of people willing to give a few days across the event to keep the ship moving. This will most likely mean working for our nerve centre at Ebenezer Church; fielding calls, checking youth groups get to the right places etc.
Cooks. We’ve got hundreds of teenagers coming from around the country. After a day on the streets of Bristol they will need a big hearty meal. If you could give an evening or two to cook at one of our four ‘hubs’, we’d love to hear from you.
Help with a Noise Community Project. Every year the Noise helps vulnerable people across the city with simple, practical tasks that make a big difference. So, if you could help clear a senior citizens garden or paint a fence for a youth centre, sign up! We’ll tackle projects every day from Wednesday to Saturday. You just need to meet at 10:30 at a designated meeting point, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Help run a Family Fun Day. With 16 family fun days happening across the city on Saturday 7th we need face painters, cake bakers and bouncy castle inflators. If you want to help run one of these fun days, get in touch!
Thanks! Sam Cook
