WHAT WE'RE ABOUT

Woodlands Church Family wants to see Bristol transformed by the love and power of Jesus. Watch our annual Vision Evening to find out what we are fired up about for the season ahead.

ONE CHURCH, MULTIPLE SITES

Woodlands Church Family is made up of a broad mix of people from different generations and backgrounds, united by a common desire in every day life:

"to continually reproduce the life of Jesus"

Our church began with a handful of people led by Rob & Pam Scott-Cook in Sea Mills in 1983. Since then, we have grown year on year, church planting across the city with a shared vision, allowing each congregation to have its own community and purpose.

Our congregations include:

OUR VISION

Everyone is welcome at Woodlands.

We believe that we are all on a journey of discovery and faith and that it's helpful to do that in a community with other people: People who can not only support each other in that exploration but also in life's difficulties and celebrations.

In that community, in love, in prayer and through a greater understanding of the Bible, we want to:

  • Help people become committed Christians and part of the international family of God

  • Disciple each person to follow and become more like Jesus

  • Release everyone into ministry, gifts and mission, working together in unity with other churches & organisations

  • Reach our region with the gospel and bless the nations, especially the poorest

We do this not by our own abilities, but with God's guidance and help, and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

OUR MISSION

Church In Our City: As Woodlands Church Family, we work in partnership with other churches, across all denominations and types and with other organisations across the city. We believe that we all have a part to play and it will take all of us to see our city reached for Jesus and for it to flourish and grow.

Church In Our Region, In Our World: We're also committed to playing our part in the South West and work with churches, organisations and initiatives on a regional and national level, including The Muller Charitable Trust and New Wine. We want to play our part on a global scale as well, so we work with Global Partners across the world and send out short-term mission teams from Bristol.
